Winter-Activities-Bucket-List-1

In the past I would look at seasonal bucket lists and think, how do these moms have all of this spare time? Must be nice. But 2020 has taught me that family time comes first and it changes your whole perspective.

What I love about The Family Winter Activities Bucket List that I created is that it includes Christmas but not all of the activities are holiday-specific. Keep in mind, a Florida Winter doesn’t include snow – so I had to leave a couple of fun ones off the list. Most of these activities are also social distancing friendly, so have fun!

  • Visit a Christmas Tree Farm

Our favorite tree farm is in Eustis, FL called Santas Christmas Tree Forest . We have had professional photos there and have taken our own (frowned upon). It makes a Florida Christmas seem ten times more like the real deal, so if you are in the area please check it out.

  • Take Photos with Santa
  • Write a Letter to Santa
  • Make a Christmas List

We have a tradition to see Santa every year, and we did this year even though it was different with social distancing. We typically go to the same exact Santa year after year. Cassidy loves it and it’s fun to see them interact. Usually, we have her cut out the presents that she wants Santa to bring and we paste them onto a poster board. She gets better at it each year. This year we had her attempt to write her name at the top, it was adorable.

Anyone from Florida know which Santa we went to visit?
  • Decorate the Christmas Tree
  • Listen to Christmas music

If you have been around here for awhile, you know decorating the Christmas tree is my favorite so I couldn’t leave it off the list. Decorating the house together is also really fun while blasting our favorite music.

  • Buy Your Favorite Winter Candles/Essential Oils
  • DIY Christmas Photos/Holiday Cards

This year I set up a Christmas photo-shoot using props that I had – I wrote a post about it HERE.

Cooking is a huge part of the holiday season for us, so we cant forget these:

  • Bake Your Favorite Treats
  • Decorate Christmas Cookies
  • Put a Stew in the Crockpot
  • Make Your Own Pizza Night

The weather starts to cool down just a tad here in Florida, and this year it was colder than usual. So we were able to get outside a bunch.

  • Have a Bonfire
  • Make Smores
  • Play in the Snow
  • Drive Around to See Christmas Lights
  • Go For a Walk
  • Go Camping
  • Visit the Mountains
  • Collect Pinecones
  • Go on a Scavenger Hunt

On days that you just want to chill, we love to hang out together as a family.

  • Decorate a Gingerbread House
  • Make Homemade Ornaments
  • Make Homemade Play-Doh
  • Buy Some New Pajamas or Comfy Clothes
  • Netflix and Chill
  • Do a Puzzle

I just got done making my blogging resolutions for this year but personally I have a few things I want to work on. I want to be more active and focus on my holistic health. A huge part of that will be growing my faith.

  • Set Some New Goals
  • Create New Years Resolutions

What do I Have Left On My Bucket List?

We haven’t had a bonfire yet and I would love to make some s’mores on a cold night here. We’ve had some cold fronts here already but I know there are more to come.

A huge bucket list item that I have is being able to rent a cabin in the mountains to enjoy Christmas in as a family. I haven’t seen snow in so long!
